The Father Christmas Races are organised by the local athletics club ABV Les Herbiers
ABV Les Herbiers is a sports club founded in 1981.
The club is affiliated to the Fédération Française d'Athlétisme (French Athletics Federation), but is first and foremost a not-for-profit association with a mission of general sporting, educational and social interest. ABV Les Herbiers offers all the disciplines of track and field athletics (walking, jumping, running, throwing) and off-stage athletics (road races, trail running and Nordic walking), from beginners to top-level athletes.
ABV Les Herbiers also organises sporting events such as Les Courses du père Noël, Monte la Maha in June(https://bit.ly/MonteLaMaha ) and many other events that you can find on the club's website: https://www.abvendee.fr/
ABV Les Herbiers is also part of the following association ATHLE BOCAGE VENDEE, a club that brings together 7 local athletics clubs: ABV Les Herbiers, AMA Cugand, AC Chantonnay, ABV Pouzauges, ABV Montaigu Vendée, ABV La Chataigneraie and ABV La Boissière de Montaigu.
With over 1,200 members, ATHLE BOCAGE VENDEE plays in the Nationale 2 league and is ranked 53rd among French clubs.
